In one sentence, how would you describe your startup?

MintMe.com is a new and unique way of crowdfunding projects, communities, and ideas. 

What are you building and who benefits most from it? 

We are creating a platform meant to help visionaries or anyone with an idea raise funds to kickstart whatever they are doing. It will benefit anyone and everyone, especially those who are just starting. MintMe is for all who are thinking about monetizing their work or hobby.

What has been the biggest challenge so far and how did you overcome it?

Managing an online-only staff of 50 or so people in different time zones and in an environment that requires tight organization rules and collaboration between different departments was certainly a big challenge when building up our service. We overcame it by allocating resources to our managerial team and setting up very clear procedures for every production task through Redmine.

What tool or app could you not live without and why?

Rocket.Chat, which is an open-source communication platform. We utilize it daily for our remote-work company model, so it is integral to our service.

What marketing strategies have worked for you?

Currently, we have invested most of our resources into development, and now with our completed product, we are planning to step up our marketing game. That said, we don’t know yet what will work for us.

What’s the best specific piece of advice you have for other entrepreneurs?

Believe in your vision, but do not disregard the feedback from your end users. Feedback can definitely position your business for success and allow you to achieve your vision in the long run, even if the path deviates a little from what you had in mind initially.

What does your company’s trajectory look like over the next five years?

We hope to be one of the main crowdfunding services and not only in the blockchain sphere—we also want to compete with more mainstream services. Our project is definitely evolving. We want to help people fund their projects to grow together with us, and we won’t stop until we achieve this goal.
