What are you building, and who benefits most from it?

Our SaaS tool provides an automated code review service that helps developers avoid technical debt. Technical debt is a common problem that can affect the performance, reliability, and quality of software projects. By using our dashboard, developers can see how much technical debt they have and when they should prioritize refactoring over adding new features. In this way, they can keep their code base clean and efficient.

What is one of your startup’s most impressive accomplishments?

One of our proudest achievements was being awarded the Best Startup Idea in our region. We competed against many other innovative and promising startups and impressed the judges with our vision, product, and market potential. This recognition validated our hard work and gave us more exposure and credibility.

What has been the biggest challenge so far, and how did you overcome it?

One of our biggest challenges was finding our product-market fit. We had a great idea and a great team, but we struggled to find the right customers and validate their needs. We solved this by conducting extensive user research, testing different hypotheses, and iterating on our product based on feedback. We also experimented with different pricing models, marketing channels, and value propositions until we found the ones that resonated with our target market.

What tool or app could you not live without and why?

182 founders interviewed so far. Get interviewed in 10 minutes, via a simple form, for free.

We rely heavily on Bitbucket and Jira as our essential tools for managing our software development process. They allow us to store, share, and collaborate on our code, track our progress and issues, and communicate effectively. These tools help us stay organized and productive at all times.

What marketing strategies have worked for you?

We have found that the most effective way to market our product is to network with potential customers at various events, such as conferences and tech days. We also generate a lot of interest through our website, where we provide a free trial for users to test our tool and see its benefits quickly.

Can you share any financial data about your startup?

We are proud to announce that we have reached 4,000 users as of July 2023, which is a remarkable milestone for us and a testament to our team’s dedication and talent. (Reported on July 17, 2023.)

What has been your biggest business failure to date? What did you learn from it?

One of our biggest mistakes was not conducting a proper discovery phase with one of our former customers, which resulted in dissatisfaction and frustration for both parties. I learned that we need to follow a clear and structured process at the start of any collaboration.

What’s the best specific piece of advice you have for other entrepreneurs?

Never give up! There will be hard times, but they will make you appreciate the good ones more. I truly believe that if you pursue your passion, you will achieve your goals, so just keep moving forward.
