What are you building, and who benefits most from it?

We are building technology that improves the overall parking experience for everyone. Our solutions and products are designed to help all industries and individuals, from large corporations to small businesses, from universities to hospitals, and from commercial centers to local governments.

Our commitment to customer satisfaction sets us apart as the leading provider of parking solutions. We use our technology to help cities create better communities where people can spend more time together doing the things they love instead of searching for parking spots.

What is one of your startup’s most impressive accomplishments?

One of Parklio’s most impressive accomplishments was being named the second-best early-stage startup in a 2017 competition in Singapore involving over 5,000 companies. This recognition was earned thanks to our flagship product, the Parklio Smart Parking Barrier—the first smartphone-controlled parking barrier that supports digital key sharing.

This unique solution illustrates our dedication to product quality as well as our forward-thinking approach to solving parking issues. The barrier has been praised for its simplicity, security features, and unique design.

Parklio has grown considerably since then and now offers a full portfolio of smart parking products, solutions, and software to clients in over 50 countries. Our inclusion among the 50 fastest-growing private or public technology businesses in Central Europe in 2022 only confirms our extraordinary success.

What has been the biggest challenge so far, and how did you overcome it?

One of the toughest challenges we encountered was implementing a mass manufacturing process for metal components utilized in our products. Despite our expertise in software and hardware development, metal processing was new to us.

However, we were determined to overcome this hurdle and accomplished it by constantly learning and altering our strategy. Hardware manufacturing is much more complex and expensive than software development. Errors in software may be promptly addressed with updates, but once a product is out, it must be perfect. This increased the pressure to guarantee that every component of the hardware was flawless. Despite the challenges, we persevered and finally established a successful mass manufacturing procedure.

What tool or app could you not live without and why?

I could not imagine my life without the Parklio Parking Barrier. Without it, people would still be wasting their time searching for parking spots.

What marketing strategies have worked for you?

So far, our marketing strategies have been focused on creating a strong online presence through our website. The web acts as a platform for showcasing our goods and services, communicating our brand statement, and engaging with our target audience. Aside from the website, we’ve found Google Ads and Facebook Ads to be excellent means of reaching a bigger audience and driving more traffic to the Parklio website.

What’s the best piece of advice you have for other entrepreneurs?

It is important to remember that you are the driving force behind your company, and your actions will have a significant impact on its success. It is vital to ask for advice and acquire as much information as possible, but ultimately, you must believe in your own abilities to make the best decisions for your company.

So, my best piece of advice for entrepreneurs is to always listen to others, but at the end of the day, trust your instincts and do what you believe is best for your business. Don’t be afraid to make decisions and take risks, and always be open to learning and growing as a leader. With hard work, determination, and a willingness to take calculated risks, you can achieve great success.

What does your company’s trajectory look like over the next five years?

The Parklio story is just beginning, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Our long-term goals include growing our product line, introducing new features to existing products, and improving our solutions and software capabilities, all while continuing to bring smart products into the realm of urban life.

We anticipate that our company’s trajectory over the next five years will be one of continuous growth, and we are looking forward to seeing Parklio become synonymous with parking, just like Uber with taxi services and Airbnb with accommodation.
